Attention to all FSMs by SCDF

"Arising from the recent fire in the Marina Bay Suites, we would like to request for  all FSMs to  increase  the  frequency of their checks for fire hazards in the buildings like the disposal of combustibles especially those that are left unattended overnight after business hours or after renovation works carried out at the premises.  The accumulation of combustibles,  left unattended overnight, is prone to being set on fire and the consequence of such fires may be catastrophic.
Grateful if all the FSMs could also engage the building occupiers against such practices and where possible provide viable options for the accumulation of rubbish or other combustibles to be disposed off in a proper collecting centres to prevent  fires.
Your assistance and attention on this matter is greatly appreciated. "
